God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son…”
Take for instance a host of the prophets of the past like Moses, Isaiah, Joshua, David, Jeremiah, Elijah, Elisha, and other messengers that had walked through the surface of the earth bearing the message of God, noticeable and distinct are their personality, and the manners in which they convey the messages they bear.
Simply, they are unique in some sense (as per being different from one another).
The truth indisputably is that, accompanying the messages God gave to them are mighty signs and wonders in various ways and in diverse manners.
God through them parted the red sea, stop the moon, raise the dead, stopped battles, etc.
Some by reasons unexplainable, and various false thoughts has come to reject and denied some truths about the person of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Holy Scriptures.
Some reasons like “God cannot give birth to a child; or who is the wife of God” as an opposition to the biblical truth that Jesus Christ is a son of God.
Some claims Jesus Christ is just a prophet and he possessed noting special or better than the other prophets, etc.
However, Jesus is not just an ordinary prophet or ordinary human being as many people purposed, this is because a detailed glanced or in-depth study of the scripture will revealed the profound exceptional character and personality, of Jesus Christ.
Below are therefore some out of the numerous exceptional characters and personality that reveals the uniqueness of Jesus Christ.
12 Truths hat makes Jesus Christ unique.
1. JESUS IS NOT JUST A HUMAN BEING; HE IS THE FIRST BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.
Hebrews 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. He's 100%man and 100% God.
Jesus was once the only begotten of the father, however, after His resurrection, He became the First begotten of the father, for through Him have we all received the adoption of sons.
“For as many as received Him gave He them the power to become the children of God”..
2. JESUS IS CO-EQUAL WITH GOD
He is in the class of God. Even the Godhead calls him God. Hebrews 1:6-8 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son [he saith], “Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom.”
I and my father, we are one; John 10:30 I am in my father and my father is in me: John 14:10, words like this and many others confirm the proclamation of the equableness of the Father and His son. He is one of the Holy and Divine Trinity (A truth to be explained just for another day).
The truth is, God wrought mighty signs and wonders through the prophets and messengers of the past, however, there has never been in history of mankind that any man performs miracles as Jesus did; he raised the dead, heal the sick, the blind, lame, feed five thousand people with 5 loaves of bread and two fishes, walk and also permitted his disciple Peter to walk on the seas etc.
Not only did He perform the miracles, He also gives authority and powers to His disciples to do as much.
4. HE DIED AND HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY JUST HAS HE HAS SAID.
Without the shedding of Blood, there is no remission of Sins. And the blood of animals cannot take away the sins of a man.
For this purpose it suffices for Christ to die for the sins of the whole world.
Jesus is the Lamb of God that took away the sins of the whole world. This he achieved by laying down His life on the cross of Calvary.
He was buried and He later woke up the third day as he has declared.
Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:46-47.
5. HE'S THE WORD OF GOD MADE FLESH
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:1-3, 14.
Jesus became human, but he had always existed, although not as human person. He had been with God the Father in heaven, before he was born.
He showed us the truth about God. He showed us how much God loves us. God is kind to us, even when we do not deserve it.
6. HE INHERITED (GIVEN) HIS NAME, AND IN HIS NAME ANSWERS TO PRAYER IS RECEIVED
Jesus after his resurrection became the first begotten from the dead and as a result God gave Him a name that is greater than all other names, and that makes Him to be superior to the angels.
Hebrews 1:3-4 Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Philippians 2:8-118 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus, recognizing this truth afore his death and resurrection declared unto His disciples to pray and asked the father anything “IN HIS NAME”
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

Truths that showed the uniqueness of Jesus Christ
7. HE WAS BORN OF A VIRGIN
The incredible became credible. Impossibility on the part of man becoming possible. For with God all things are possible.
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, and he was a child of the Holy Ghost.
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
8. JESUS IS THE ONLY MAN THAT NEVER SINNED
1 Peter2:22 " Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth";
The fact that Jesus is the only man that never sinned suffices him to be the savior of the world. He was the unspotted lamb that was slain.
Hebrews 7:26-27 For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all whenHebrews 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Jesus was not born of the seed of man, but of the seed of the Holy Spirit. Hence, the nature of sin that spread to all (For all have sinned…) was powerless over Him.
9. THROUGH HIM ALL THINGS WERE CREATED AND HE HIMSELF WASN’T CREATED.
It has always been of great discourse whether Jesus Christ was created or not. but the scriptures makes us to understand that Jesus causes all things to be.
Reason being that He was the Word of God made flesh. And God created everything by the power of His word. In Him (The Word) was life, and the life was the light of men.
Hebrews 1:10 And: You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
He is co-creator with God. For by the word of His power was all things created.
John 1: 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
God created everything by means of the Word. This means that Jesus caused everything to exist. He gave life to everything that God created.
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions"
10. HE IS THE GREATEST HIGH PRIEST AND MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN.
“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Heb 4:14-16.1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
Jesus has the power of Eternal life, He is alive making intercession for us before the father.
Hebrews 5:1, 5,10 For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him: " You are My Son, Today I have begotten You." called by God as High Priest "according to the order of Melchizedek,"Hebrews 8:1 Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
11. JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" John 14:6
God recognizing the inability of the office of the prophet to show the way, and the truth to the people bring forth Jesus Christ who is the very Way, the Truth and the Life.
He is the only way to which we can reach God. And this expresses the futility of religion. For people cannot come to God except through a person and the person is Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the truth; because He does more than just telling us the truth about God, He’s actually the very truth. The Truth is not an idea; it is a person. Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the life; He does not just give us life, He shares his life, which is God’s life with us.
“In Him was life and the life was the light of Men”. John1:4
12. PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS ABOUT HIM:
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Many prophets of Old prophesies about the birth, death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many of which has come to pass.
To mention a few:
Isaiah prophesies about the death of Jesus Christ Isaiah 53;1-12
Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Emmanuel. (Isaiah7:14: Matthew 2:14-15).
The Messiah will be born in Bethlehem: (Micah 5:2: Matthew 2:4-6)
Jesus would become a perfect sacrifice (Psalm 40:6-8: Hebrews 10:5-10)
Jesus would draw the gentiles to God (Isaiah 11:10: John 12:18-21)
Jerusalem will rejoice as the Messiah comes to her upon a donkey (Zechariah 9:9: Matthew 21:8-10) etc.
Conclusion
Conclusively, in addition to the aforementioned truths; Jesus being the image of the invisible God, the one who visited hades and set the captives free.
His unique way of answering questions, coupled with the power and authority to forgive sins, he being exalted than the Angels.
Lastly, He through whom we have all received Grace for Grace are the very truths or realities that spells out the uniqueness of Jesus Christ.
The truths that can never be attributed to anyone else.
