How Lucifer The finest Angel Fall From Heaven

I was studying the scripture recently and I by chance came across some verses of the scripture that talks about the beauties and the leadership role of the son of the morning, the Satan.

He was a creature of rare beauty, In fact, he was a cherub of covering says the scripture. And I began to think and ask myself what could possibly be the main  reason for his cast down amidst several others.

Who is Lucifer before the Fall

Before the fall of Lucifer ( who later become Satan); the finest angel: See who the scripture says He was:

There are two scriptures that talk about him before his fall they are:

Ezekiel 28: 12 - 17

Ezekiel 28:12-17 "Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him,

'Thus says the Lord GOD: " You [were] the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone [was] your covering:

The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold.

The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. " You [were] the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God;

You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You [were] perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

"By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.

"Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.

Isaiah 14:12-14 How have you fallen from heaven, O light-bringer and daystar, son of the morning!

How you have been cut down to the ground, you who weakened and laid low the nations [O blasphemous, satanic king of Babylon!]

And you said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit upon the mount of assembly in the uttermost north.

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.

Lucifer Beforeh the FALL Was:

  • A creature full of wisdom and perfect beauty: he has no blemish that eyes or inner eyes can behold. The amplified version says, he's the finish touch of all that constitute completeness.
  • He was with God in Eden: Eden is the place of the presence of God. Which means he was a man/angel of the divine presence, and he never leave for once. What a joy divine is it to ever be in the presence of God. The very reason many believes he was an archangel who leads songs in heaven. He was complete in in singing praises in heaven.
  • He was an anointed Cherub that covereth: this is to show the exact closeness of his being to God. Anointed cherub that covereth reminds us of the old temple: where there are cherub whose wings covers the face of the one that seat on the mercy seat. He was second to non to God. He's probably a creature of mercy.
  • And verse 15 talks again of his perfect nature. He was perfect and complete in his ways from his beginning.
  • Isaiah makes us to see that He's a creature of light the daystar, (the son of the morning).
  • He is also a creature full of power and strength: He weaken or bring down the nations... Isaiah 14:16

YET HE (Satan) FALL: where is his Perfectness and Completeness, where is his Wisdom, where IS his power and Strength, wasn't he a light bringer, wasn't he a daystar, he should have seen beforehand his horrible end I supposed. YET HE FELL

LUCIFER FELL FROM BEING THE VERY CHARACTERISTICS I PUT UP THERE: He is no longer the morning star. He's no longer having power, he's no longer the Cherub of covering, he's no longer the complete, and his beauty is nothing to behold again, corruption became his Emblem.

Why did Lucifer fell?

Iniquity was found in Him

And God the scripture says cannot behold iniquity; And in another place it says it is our iniquity that has separated us from God.

Ezekiel 28:15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until iniquity and guilt were found in you.

His iniquity was as a result of some things such as:

1. The multitude of His merchandise, His abundance in power, in beauty, in wealth and possessions etc. His heart was lifted up because of his beauty. And his wisdom got corrupted. Ezekiel 28: 16 - 17.

2. He chose to follow his will; He gave room to empty pride

Everything he was made of was; that he may bring glory to God. But at a point he failed to recognize the sovereignty of God, he chose no longer to glorify God in all his ways.

Why? HE ALSO WANTED TO BE LIKE GOD, HE WANTED TO TAKE GOD'S PLACE: An endeavor to unseat the one that sit on the mercy seat cannot be established.

Isaiah 14:13-14 For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;

I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'

This remind me of the beginning of the FALL OF MAN: Satan the son of the morning fell because he wanted to be like God, and he knows quite well that the only thing that can be the end of that endeavor is a fall.

He knew quite well that, the perfect man, the complete man who is in Eden just like he was in the beginning (so says the scripture) cannot be brought down by anything else other than "they committing to a course which is that they should seek to be like God"

Hence, he told the woman " if you eat it, you shall be like gods". The woman behold the tree again and saw a fruit that is able to make her wise and at the same time be like gods. Genesis 3: 1-7

The Reason for the fall of Licifer

Can you see that the essence of the of of Lucer is almost the same with that if the fall of man. They both want to be like GOD.

The Lucifer (devil) fell; likewise in Adam the whole generation of man fell. The result or wages of which is horrible death.

In fact the scripture talks of the end of the devil as: he being a thief, a destroyer, a wounded lion, looking always for whom to destroy.

What can we learn from the fall of Satan (the finest Angel)

1. Give no place to self will: let your will be totally subjected to God. Jesus our worthy example at many point in time often says: not my will, but thine O God.

2. Seek no power or dominion or wealth outside God. Power can kill and destroy.

3. Let your life continually be a stream that glorifies God. Do not allow your possessions, or position to hinder you from a continual recognition of the sovereignty of God.

Nor should it hinder you from giving him the glory due his name. Remember the scripture says whatsoever you do... Let it be to the glory y of God.

4. Learn obedience and humility: philippians 2:8

Let me sum it up all with this report of a church in Revelation.

The Laodicean Church.

Revelation 3:14-18

"And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:

"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked,

I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, [that] the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

GRACE TO YOU.
