When you hear something like this "DO AS I SAY AND NOT AS I DO", know that they are Hypocrites, wolves in men's clothing.

That's an alarming and hypocritical statement many MOG put up these days to cover up their shameful acts. They simply harbors unclean things they are nurturing.

Most Spiritual Leaders are ignorant of the fact that, their life has become a book (source of inspiration for living) in which many read, studied and choose to follow these days.

People tends to emulate the things they see their spiritual leaders do. They study their MOG in other to take into actions their lifestyles or the very things they do, believing that they are saints, and that they are really who they claim to be.

This has led to the disappointment of many in that most spiritual leaders’ lifestyle is not worth emulating at all, they are simply blind guides, hypocrites, whose lifestyle is not preaching or in line with the very messages they preach or teach. They simply don’t do what they teach.

Therefore, the statement “Do what I say and not what I do” is an alarming and hypocritical statement that spiritual leaders put up nowadays to cover up their illicit and illegal acts.

A thorough review of this statement in the light of the scripture shows that:

John 5:19-20 Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

Here, Jesus Christ made it known to the Jews that he wasn’t just acting on his own, whatever he saw the father do and teach or shows unto him is what he does. This clearly shows that Jesus is not just doing whatever the father teaches (Shows him), he is equally doing whatever he saw the father does.

Acts 1:1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

If not because the lifestyle (what he does and taught) is worth following, Luke here would not have written it down and passed it on to the believers. In other words, Jesus never teach what he can never do.  For Instance, the “Baptism”; Jesus was baptised and he told his disciples and to be disciples that “Do this in remembrance of Me”. The Lord is also an ordinance of what Jesus does and command to be done.

Philippians 4:9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Here, Apostle Paul was saying emphatically that “all what I have taught you and you see in me do”. In other words, do what I do and all what I taught.
We can see that in the light of the scriptures, it is wrong and hypocritical for a spiritual leader to say “do what I say and not what I do”.

Don’t be surprised that few/some of them knows the truth and they may never teach or preach it. However, for them a to make a statement as such suggest that they have skeleton in their cupboard, they are simply indulging in some secrets sins, and their very lifestyle they themselves knows it’s not preaching or in line with their message. This is the very reason why they come up with the assertion that “We are human being too”.

If and only if you will agree with me, the likes of Spiritual Leaders that: Steal or mismanaged the church funds, have respect for (favours) some members (probably the rich) than the others, who is a divorcee, often indulge in sexual immoralities or having multiple sexual partners, and those whose code of conduct (attitudes) in terms of speech dressings etc., are the very ones that would made that statement.

No, for they are hypocrites and blind guides; they abhors secrete sins. They can lead you to hell; a blind cannot lead another blind, they would both fall into a pit.

So, when you heard that from an MOG, or u simply see them doing contrary to their teachings and dictates, my friend run! run! and run! For your dear life.

They are agents and spirits of error the scriptures talks about.

See this :
Matthew 15:14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch."

They are blind guides...
Refuse to be blind, refuse to be led of such.
Grace unto you.
