IN A BURNING HOUSE

A little boy was trapped in a burning house. The fire was so immense that the boy did not know the way out of the house which was about to be completely engulfed by the fire. He kept on shouting screaming and calling for help as the heat and smoke of the fire was too much for him to bear; but no one among the crowd, even his parent were able to save him, as all their efforts to quench the fire was in vain. Just as the people around are looking for the way out, a young man who was sympathetic and full of compassion ran into the burning house not minding the heat, searched for the little boy and threw him out of the fire.

The people outside were filled with joy and happiness but the young man that went into fire to save never came back.

He was unable to save himself from the flaming fire, what a sorrow, what a grief, what a pain, he shouted but there is no one to help him. Dear reader, this is the redemptive work of Christ for you, so that you might not die (eternal damnation) that is why Jesus Christ took upon himself your sins and iniquities; so that you might have life, that is why Jesus Christ was wounded, bruised for our iniquities (Isaiah 53:4-5).

You may think you are not a sinner and no one have to die in your place, the scripture says “Behold the bible says; I was shapen in iniquities and in sin did my mother conceive me”(Psalm 51:5) i.e. everyone born of the union of man and woman is under the power and nature of sin. For this reason was it written that; “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”(Romans 3:23). And “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is Eternal life” (Romans 6:23).  To be liberated from sin and iniquities requires atonement (Shedding of Blood) “For without the shedding of Blood there is no remission of sin”. For this very purpose God laid on Jesus the iniquities of all...

“He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities.... (Isaiah 53:66).
Dear friend, Jesus is the one that passed through the fire, he was bitten, bruised, crushed; he was let alone and rejected. He cried out, but no one could help him, he was forsaken and died a horrible death even death on the cross of Calvary your sake, for your redemption, for your salvation.

Dear friend, the salvation of Christ is for those that have accepted him as their personal lord and saviour. The Bible says “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the death you will be saved (Romans 10:8-9). Jesus is calling unto you today, why can’t you come to him, why can’t you forsake the world and its pleasure and let him give you Eternal Life or “what shall it profit you, if you gain the whole world and you lose your soul”, why will you allow the pleasures and treasures of this earth to deprive you of getting into the kingdom of God.

My friend, your redemption and salvation lies in Jesus Christ; for the bible says “He is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE, no one can see the father, except through him(John 14:6)”.

Dear friend, accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour today, because tomorrow might be too late. If you are ready to accept Jesus and becomes a citizen of heaven, God’s own redeemed child, say this prayer with me: Dear father, thank you for the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary for the salvation of my soul, I accepted Jesus today as my personal lord and saviour. Dear Jesus, please come into my life and take perfect control of my life.

If you just say the prayer, I congratulate you and welcome you into the redemptive and wonderful light of Christ.
