BE ASSURED: THE WORD NEVER FAIL

Then the LORD said to me, "Right. I am watching to make sure that my words come true." Jeremiah 1: 12

My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do." Isaiah 55: 11

There are several promises of God in His Word and people cannot but claim this precious promises into their life. Meanwhile, there are some who the situations of life is so hard on them that they tends to think that God is “a bit slow” in bringing to pass in their life his precious promises.

Many of who has tried to find other means or ways out for themselves by trying to help or fix things for God based on their own premonitions, which is very wrong.

This one thing have I come to understand, that many experience delay not that the trouble is with God or that God is kind of slow in His dealings, but that many people don't mix their faith with the Word (receiving and holding unto the word with utmost faith), while receiving or claiming the promises of God. “Without faith it is impossible to please God…” Hebrew 11:6

HANNAH MIXED FAITH WITH THE WORD
1 Samuel 1:12-18
And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth. Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunken neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto. Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.

She, who was once sad, depressed and had been continually praying before God got her countenance changed when “the prophet Eli prayed for her”. She received the word by utmost faith,. Note: she had been sad before, but by the virtue of the word of the prophet that she received joy divine was brought up within her. In fact, she who cannot eat before, after receiving the word by faith, rose up and she ate.
The rest of the story was that, she who was barren became a mother. And that’s the efficacy of holding unto the word with faith or mixing faith with the word.

“BE IT UNTO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD”  HOLY MARY
A CONTRASTING CASE: Zachariah heard the word but He was doubtful.
The scripture talks about Zachariah as a priest of the most high God. He and his wife Elizabeth were righteous before God, walking in all the commandment and ordinances of the lord, and they were blameless. However, they had an issue, they had no child even though they have advanced in age. The Angel of the Lord was sent to Zachariah to give him good tidings from the Lord.

Luke 1:13-19
But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth… And Zacharias said to the angel, "How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years." And the angel answered and said to him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings. But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time."

“Because you did not believe my words”
We can see the reword of unbelief on the part of the Zachariah, He was mute and deaf until the child was born.

And that’s the reason why many people were had delay in getting answers to their request of which they tends to see fault on the part of God.
God’s expectation was that, “whenever He gave us His word, we shouldn’t doubt, but rather put absolute trust and confidence in Him to bring it to pass.

God’s word will not go without fulfilling its purpose.
God watches over His word to perform it.
His Word is dependable and reliable; it never fails.

Grace to you.
